Delkin 1900x UHS-II U3 32GB SDHC Memory Card Review

Delkin 1900x UHS-II U3 32GB SDHC Memory Card

Introduction

Delkin 1900x UHS-II memory card offers up to 285MB/s read and 100MB/s write speed according to Delkin. This UHS-II card is backwards compatible with UHS-I devices, but operates at lower speed. The 1900x card is rated UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) which means it can provide 30MB/s continuous write speed for recording 4K, 2K and 3D video. Delkin 1900x UHS-II cards are available in 32, 64, 128 and 256GB capacities. This review is for the 32GB SDHC version (DDSD190032GB).
UHS-II cards have a second row of contacts to interface a high speed bus that operates at up to 312MB/s. In devices that do not have the necessary UHS-II pins, the card uses the legacy contacts and provides UHS-I compatibility. The card is made in Taiwan.

Performance

The Delkin 1900x card was benchmarked using several UHS-I and UHS-II SD card readers. In the fastest UHS-II reader, the card reached 271.0 MB/s sequential read. In UHS-I card readers the card operates in UHS-I mode and measured 96.3 MB/s sequential read speed. The highest write speed in any reader was 51.1 MB/s, significantly below the 100MB/s advertised write speed. This write speed is lower than the Delkin 633x UHS-I card that measured 82 MB/s sequential write.
The Delkin 1900x SD card would be best suited for those looking to download pictures and videos quickly, while the write speed is good but not up to the level of other high-performance UHS-I cards, and well below the speed provided by other UHS-II cards such as the Lexar 2000x UHS-II card.
